Day 1 Arrive in Guilin - - Longsheng



"East and West, Guilin is best". Guilin is situated in the northeast of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on the west bank of the Li River. Its name means "forest of Sweet Osmanthus", owing to the large number of fragrant Sweet Osmanthus trees located in the city. The city has long been renowned for its unique scenery. The Longsheng Rice Terraces are located in Longsheng County about 100km (2 hours drive) from Guilin. The most popular rice terraces are PingAn Rice Terrace and Jinkeng Rice Terrace. Panorama of the Longji terrace is one of the Longsheng Rice Terraces. The best time for a good photo is in early June, when the paddies are pumping with water, the villages are transferring young plant of rice from the seed bed to large areas of rice terrace.

Day 2 Longsheng - - Guilin



The fields in Longji are the result of hundreds of years of wise management and hard work. The shining terraces lace the mountain slopes like silver ribbons in spring. And summer breezes ripple the surface of the paddies in great waves. In autumn layers of yellow crops make golden pagodas, and in winter hosts of white snow dragons are said to make the terraces their home. The fields have combined magnificence and elegance, and form some of the finest scenery in China.

The Reed Flute Cave is absolutely a must-see attraction. It is situated in the highway of the Guangming Hill, in the northwestern suburbs of the city. The cave got its name from a kind of flutes growing outside which can be made into melodious flutes. The cave is filled with a large number of stalactites, stalagmites, rocks in all strange shapes. The cave is about 240 meters long and a trip last about one hour. Along the u-shaped route, visitors can see those oddly shaped rocks, stone pillars and your guide will give you interesting story about them. Illuminated by the colored lights, the cave looks like a dazzling palace that’s why the cave is otherwise known as the "Art Palace of the Nature".

Elephant Trunk Hill, also known as Elephant Hill is located at the confluence of Li River and Peach Blossom River in the southwest of Guilin city. It looks like a huge elephant stretching its trunk drinking water hence the name. Elephant Trunk Hill has been the symbol of the karst landscape in the area.

Day 3 Guilin - - Yangshuo - - GuilinDepart from Guilin



The Li River meanders among rows of rows of hills, creating rolls and rolls of watercolor paintings. Disembark at Yangshuo.
