Yuyuan Garden is a 400 years old famous classical garden located in Anren Jie, Shanghai, not far fron the Bund. Pan Yunduan, a government officer of the Ming Dynasty, build this garden for Pan’s parents as a place for them to enjoy a tranquil and happy time in their old age. There are over 40 buildings, ancient trees, ponds, bridges and sculptures, each with the unique and special look. The true treasure of Yuyuan Garden is the Exquisite Jade Rock. Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall is has six floors that detail the ambitious plans of Shanghai's urban planners. Exhibitions include models of planned and recent developments, as well as Shanghai’s history. The centerpiece on the third floor is a huge model of the city as it is now. Visitors can view the model at “ground level”, or ascend a gallery running around it for views from above. This museum gives a glimpse of how Shanghai will look like in a couple of decades to tourists.
The Bund is a symbol of Shanghai and an epitome of Shanghai’s modern history. As an area of Huangpu District in Shanghai, it is a good place for a lersurely stroll and a view of the Huangpu River. Looking out on the river, various cargo vessels, speedier tourist ferries and other locally owned boats navigate. Towering skyscrapers such as the Oriental Pearl Tower line the river, and the neon lights indicating the offices of top world brands and European architecture surrounding them.
