Arrive in Kunming

Kunming
Today's sightseeing includes Stone Forest, which is one of the great nature wonders of China, and is also the largest stone forest in the world. Then visit the Flower and Bird Market.
The Stone Forest is in the Lunan Yi Nationality Autonomous County, Yunnan Province, which is a famous sightseeing spot in this China tour. It covers an area of 2,670 square kilometers and is divided into several scenic areas with names like Greater Stone Forest, Lesser Stone forest, Outer Stone Forest, Underground Stone Forest, Stone Forest Lake, and Da Dieshui Fall. Day 3
Kunming - 
- Dali
Take a morning flight from Kunming to Dali. Upon arrival, the guide will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. Then proceed to visit the fascinating Dali Ancient Town, and the Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple.
Dali Ancient Town is about 13km away from Xiaguan in Dali City and is one of Dali' s Three Ancients——ancient city, ancient pagoda and ancient steles, which is sightworthy place in this China tour package.
History of Dali can be dates back to 1382 during the Ming Dynasty and it has been listed among the top historic cities of China. Unlike any other Chinese town, the traditional Bai ethnic folk houses give the town distinctive feel. The town's layout was uniform, with five main streets from south to north and eight main streets from east to west, while marketplaces were neatly arranged within the town, which has remained unchanged to this date.
Besides the Bai houses, the houses with gray-green roof tiles, peculiar workshops, temples, schools and churches with antique flavor are scattered. Traditional marble artworks, like pencil vases, striped screen, and a variety of woven handicrafts of fine straw are laid chockablock on both sides of the street to be appreciated and purchased. - Lijiang

Locating between 10004'-10016'east longitude and 2703'-2740' north latitude, Jade Dragon Snow Mountain (Yulong Mountain) is the southernmost glacier in the Northern Hemisphere. Consisting of 13 peaks, among which Shanzidou is the highest one with an altitude of 5,600 meters (18,360 feet), Jade Dragon Snow Mountain stretches a length of 35 kilometers (22 miles) and a width of 20 kilometers (13 miles). Looking from Lijiang Old Town in the south which is 15 kilometers (nine miles) away, the snow-covered and fog-enlaced mountain resembles a jade dragon lying in the clouds, hence, the name Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. Baisha Mural is located 11 kilometers north of Lijiang. A great number of frescos of Ming and Qing Dynasties are collected in the Colored Glaze Palace (Liuli Dian) and Dabaoji Palace (Dabaoji Gong). The greatest feature of the frescos is the syncretism. Figures of Buddism, Taoism and Lamaism are painted together, which is peculiar in the world. You can visit it during your Yunnan tour.
Day 6
Lijiang - - Xishuangbanna
Xishuangbanna is a sub-tropical region in South China, in the deep south of Yunnan province, bordering with Laos and Burma. It has a distinct South-East Asian feel and is a melting pot for Yunnan minorities. It attracts a lot of tourists in China tour.
While the largest minority in Xishuangbanna are the Dai people, ethnically belonging to the Thai family (along with Siamese, Lao, etc); other minorities include the Miao, Zhuang, Yao, Jinuo, Lahu, etc. The Dai are traditionally Buddhist, combining Theravada Buddhism, (like in Thailand, Cambodia, Burma and Sri-Lanka) with indigenous spirit worship. Now, that the Chinese relaxed their anti-religious campaign, monasteries are being re-opened and orange-clad monks from Thailand arrive to revive the Buddhist tradition. Xishuangbanna - - Kunming
Take a morning flight back to Kunming. Visit Western Hill and Dragon Gate. From here, you can have a bird's eye view of Kunming and the big lake beside it.
